3 Functions of the Mind

Here I’m going to explain 3 Functions of the Mind:
Thoughts
What do you think your thoughts are? Are thoughts the data your mind feeds into your brain? Or are thoughts the way your mind processes the data that you’re given? Thoughts are everything that comes to your mind. Be it information or even a silly joke. Everything that goes in your mind is your thoughts.
Thinking is the part of the mind that makes sense of everything; it figures things out about your life events and anything near you. The brain tells us what is going on and what is happening around us through our thoughts. The mind makes us focus on the small details, interpret things and then make decisions through the thought process.

Thinking controls your feelings and your emotions. It decides how you’ll react to the things happening in your life and what measures you’ll take to fix the problems around you. At this point, you have learned that your thoughts control your emotions; however, our question to you is, do you manage your thoughts? Or are your thoughts preventing you?
Feelings
The environment around you motivates you to produce thoughts in your head. The reflections create feelings. These feelings help you determine if your life events are positive or negative. If you have positive emotions, then you feel happy or excited. But if you have negative thoughts that lead to negative feelings, you are bound to get depressed or sad. You can evaluate what exactly you are feeling through using the words “I don’t feel so good,” “Things aren’t going so well for me,” “I am excited.”

Do you see how one function of the mind controls the other part of the reason? How your thoughts lead you to have feelings. Even when you feel numb, you think. You will see that feeling genuinely determine how your day would be spent. If you will have a bad mood all day, or if you will have a good mood. Surfaces form a bubble around you and decide what kind of energy you will be producing in the day. Will you be producing positive energy or negative ones?
Desires
Desires are your wants and your wishes that you want to fulfill. They are not for someone else, and they are your wants that you wish to all to yourself. Your desires can be anything; love, power, vengeance, family, education, money, lust, status, social contact. Your wishes are the everyday actions that you want to the extent that they become your need sometimes.
Have you had desires that are so strong that they become your need? Like something you have wanted all your life, and after fighting many battles, you finally won it, but now you cannot let go of it.

Having desires is healthy. They make you competitive and give you life goals. They motivate you every day to get up and conquer the world—the world that you want for yourself. However, sometimes, your desires get the best of you. Sometimes you desire something so much that they make you do wrong and evil things. You cannot differentiate between right and wrong and, well, create problems for yourself and others.
It would help if you had the wisdom about when to stop going any further and know when to stop calling off your plans. Just ask yourself; are you harming anyone and, most importantly yourself? If you are, you need to stop and start thinking about healthy ways to fulfill your desires.
Here now we will discuss different types of minds.
Different Types of Minds
Here we discuss Different Types of Minds:
Conscious Mind
The conscious mind defines all the actions and thoughts that we have when we are fully awake and aware of our surroundings. You are most familiar with this mind state. Right now, your mind is consciously aware of what is happening. You are reading this article.

Apart from this, anything you do in your day when you’re awake and aware comes from a conscious mind. When you smell something or when you eat something. What clothes do you decide to wear when you go out. Your conscious mind does everything you do. This function of the mind operates all the time and never gets tired. However, at some point in the day, you shift your mind function to the subconscious mind.
Subconscious Mind
The subconscious mind is more like an auto-pilot. It is defined as all the automatic actions and reactions we can think of. E.g., if you’re lost in your thoughts, and you’re coming home from your office. You will see that sometimes, you are so lost in your thoughts that you do not remember the route you took and how you even got home. Well, you drive from your office to home every day, and that route is recorded in your mind. Your mind knows the course like the back of your hand. So, even though you are not paying attention, your subconscious mind is active, leading the way to your home.
Isn’t it amazing how the function of your mind leads you to do your chores daily? How can you subconsciously drive a manual car without even focusing on the gears and the clutch? How can you perform your daily tasks without even focusing on what you have to do?
Unconscious
Of three different types of minds, The unconscious mind is the most exciting mind state. They are the memories that you have been holding on to. Or emotions that you cannot let go of. However, they are the events that you have experienced but cannot remember. These memories can be the one of the first time you ever spoke or when you learned to walk. No matter how much you try, you cannot remember these memories.

Do you think your unconscious mind shapes your personality, or is it like the other functions of the mind, operating to help you get through your day? We believe that the memories that you have experienced in the past and somewhat suppressed shape your mindset and personality in a way that you do not even understand yourself.
However, if you want to get to your unconscious mind, start questioning the different habits you have. Do you even know where you adopted them from?
These are three different types of minds mentioned above.
Let’s recap; when discussing the mind, there are three basic areas to consider: the conscious mind, the subconscious mind, and the unconscious mind.
The conscious mind is the part we’re aware of and thinks with. It is easily manipulated, and it’s the part of our mind we are most familiar with.
The subconscious mind is the most complicated, and for our purposes, the most important. The subconscious mind is where mental programs are created and carried out. If you want to change the mental programs you’re running, the subconscious mind is where you’ll need to focus.
The unconscious mind is the creator of dreams. Its job is to sort and organize the millions of pieces of data you’ve been exposed to. Is the most exciting mind state; consider everything you’re being exposed to at this moment alone through your five senses.
